Aerosmith reveal tracklisting for 'Tough Love: Best of the Ballads' album

Fri, 01 Apr 2011

Aerosmith have confirmed details of their 'Best of' album which is set for release in May.  The collection will include some the bands biggest hits and will be titled Tough Love: Best of the Ballads is released on 9th/10th May.

The band are set to be itching to return to the studio and record and have been working on new material and reportedly entered the studio to lay down tracks in February, but with frontman Steven Tyler currently working on American Idol it could be a little while longer until Aerosmith fans can expect new material.

In a recent interview with the Boston Herald bassist Tom Hamilton has revealed he can't wait to finally get down to recording for the next Aerosmith album, "I am bursting at the seams to do this and have been for a long time,’’ Hamilton said. “Everybody’s head is into it, and once Steven is done with his TV gig, we get to work and damned if we don’t have a finished record by the end of September."

When asked if the rumours of Aerosmith appearing on American Idol at some point in the season were true he revealed, that no one had been official asked to perform. "In my mind, so many things would have to be right before that would be attractive to me," he said. "We would have to do something to bring the rock. Not middle-of-the-road stuff."
