David Bowie to release remix EP and an iPhone App

David Bowie has revealed he will relrease a new EP consisting of remixes of his 1875 single "Golden Years".This image has been reduced in size - click here to view full sizeThe EP will include the original title track and four remixes by DJ's Anthony Valadez, Chris Douridas, Eric J Lawrence and Jeremy Sole from KCRW Radio station.(check out a preview here).

"Bowie is not only an icon and a legend, but one of the most unique and groundbreaking artists of this century. This would be both the honor and the obstacle in remixing." says DJ & Radio host Jeremy Sole about when he was asked to remix the song.

Anthony Valadez spoke about the creative process of the project, "The process of this remix has been fun and a challenge. Recreating the brilliance of Bowie is no easy task."

But that's not all fans with iPhone's will also be able to get a 'Golden Years' iPhone app created by 'Station To Station' producer Harry Maslin which will allow fans to remix their own version of the track from their phone.

Both the EP and the iPhone App will be available on June 7th.
