Thu, 07 Apr 2011
Whitesnake's new album 'Forevermore' see's the band revisiting the blues-based riff's that their earlier material had seen.
In a recent interview with NoiseCreep, Whitesnake frontman David Coverdale has revealed his strong feelings towards his band being labelled as a 'Heavy Metal Band'.
"The genre that I've found myself in -- not that I ever pigeonholed or catalogued stuff, that's for other people -- I loathe and detest seeing 'heavy metal' when I see my stuff come up in iTunes," He tells Noisecreep. "I've never embraced that label on my music, other than I'm really loud. All of my songs have emotional and physical content. It has nothing to do with the emotionless metal."
Earlier this week: Whitesnake will release a live DVD/CD set of their Donington 'Monsters of Rock' 1990 performance, check out the details here.
