Kiss, Billy Joel and The Cure to record Paul McCartney covers album

Paul McCartney is organising a covers album of his songs featuring the likes of Kiss, Billy Joel and The Cure a source tells The Sun newspaper.

Last August, Kiss bassist Gene Simmons revealed in an interview with Weekender that the band had recorded the cover of "Venus and Mars" for the upcoming album.

A source has revealed to The Sun that Sir Paul has had arranged a collaboration with his son, James and The Cure for the album, "James was over the moon at playing with The Cure. He's always been a big fan. They all went into a studio in Sussex and hung out together. Over the years, ROBERT SMITH and Macca's paths have crossed countless times and he is chuffed having The Cure pay tribute to him."
