Premier Drums agree worldwide licencing deal with Iron Maiden's Nicko McBrain

Mon, 11 Apr 2011

At last week's MusikMesse in Frankfurt, Premier announced the new range and licencing deal they have agreed in association with Nicko McBrain and Iron Maiden for a new range due out in September.

Last year Premier provided Nicko McBrain a new kit with custom "The Final Frontier" artwork for the bands world tour that will reach the UK this July and August.

Nicko McBrain said in the official announcement, "I have been a part of the Premier family since 1994 and we have always had a great relationship. They have taken care of my various customized touring and recording kits and support on the road. On many occasions we have talked about making available replicas of my touring kits, following a host of requests from many people and fans as to how they may get their hands on one!! We have also talked about designing and manufacturing a line of starter kits for all you up-and-coming, young or old stars in the making, whether you’re into Maiden or not. So, it is with immense pride and passion that I can announce this has finally come to fruition. We have a smashing new selection of custom kits, custom snare drums and spare parts, that I hope all you drummers (or budding drummers) will like, regardless of how long you’ve been playing. Just remember, ‘hit em hard!!!!!!!!!!

After I have finished the summer tour with the mighty Maiden, I am hoping to do a bit of an international tour of my own, along the same lines as Rhythm of the Beast. I do hope you will come along and have some fun with me and to check out our new drums and equipment."

Drummers will be able to purchase one of the re-issued replicas of Nicko's tour kits including the 2003 iconic monochrome kit from the "Give Me Ed 'til I'm Dead" tour.

Visit the Premier website for full details on the new products.
