Coldplay frontman sings Oasis cover at secret London event

Thu, 14 Apr 2011

Last night, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin performed at a secret gig in London at the Boogaloo Bar where he played a cover of the 1995 Oasis hit "Wonderwall" (See fan filmed video below).

He also performed his own songs 'Yellow' and an unreleased song 'Wedding Bells' which is later revealed would not be on the new Coldplay album as it was too 'soppy'.

When he performed the Oasis hit, he brought a lucky audience member to the stage to help saying, "Fuck it I'll do it, but only if you do it with me."

The gig was organised by comedian Simon Pegg as a tribute to former landlord John Parkhouse who passed away, the commedian also joined Chris Martin on stage to play harmonica during a performance of "Green Eyes".
