Slash will focus on his second album before Velvet Revolver,

Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash has revealed that he has to 'move on' in terms
of the bands search to replace singer Scott Weiland and will focus on his second Solo album next.
"For the next couple of years, nothing is going to be happening with Velvet Revolver" Slash reveals to Vorterix.com, reports RockNewsDesk.com.
In the past few months bassist Duff McKagan has sparked rumours about Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor's studio sessions with the band to lead to an upcoming announcement, however Slash says although the singer is great, he doesn't feel it answered the Velvet Revolver problem.
"Because of social networking that information gets out so quickly now. We did work with Corey, but all we were doing was trying him out.
Our process is that we take a lot of music we wrote and give it to the guy we’re auditioning, he writes his lyrics, we perform it, record it and see what it’s like.
So he did come in and do all that – but it just wasn’t right. It didn’t seem to fit to me. He’s great. I love Corey, but it didn’t seem like the answer to the Velvet Revolver problem." he explained to Vorterix.com.
He then added that he's going to make another Slash album and go on tour, which will leave it another few years if anything will happen for Velvet Revovler in the future. "I’m just not really concerning myself with it right now. We had all these different guys try out, all really good singers, but nobody has fit the thing. So I have to move on."
It looks like Velvet Revolver fans will have to wait even longer to find out if there will indeed be a next album or not.
