Despite the notorious feud between the two bands after Dave Mustaine's departure
from Metallica, Lars Ulrich has revealed he's "always admired him" and has contributed liner notes to Megadeth's "Peace Sells...But Who's Buying?" re-issue.
To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the album's original release Megadeth will re-issue the 1986 album with a full disc of a previously unreleased 1987 Megadeth live concert The release will be available in a 2 CD set, digital download, a three disc LP box and even a deluxe 5-disc set.

Recently talking to Revolver Magazine's BIG FOUR issue, the Metallica drummer revealed, "when "Peace Sells" came out in '86, it just blew me away. That was right up my alley. That literally became my favorite record for a long time. Dave Mustaine would come up and play San Francisco a lot."
On the rivalry between the bands he explained, "It wasn’t until both bands started getting bigger that this whole kind of thing started happening in the press, which was really kind of different than what we had going between us. There was almost like two relationships there. The press loved the whole Megadeth-Metallica rivalry, And I sort of think it got a life of its own," he then added, "eventually started kind of transcending itself into our personal relat
ionship and probably became a big part of the fact that over the ’90s it got a little frosty at times
