After being out of action following coming down with an infection (from a Spider Bite) forcing him to miss out on the current leg of the bands tour, guitarist Jeff Hanneman has said he wants to play at the Big Four concert in California this weekend, frontman Tom Araya has revealed in a recent interview with LA Weekly.
Talking to LA Weekly's Steve Appleford, the frontman updated about his guitarist recuperation, "From what I'm being told, he wants to do the show, but we don't really know what condition he's in." he says before continuing, "He's obviously doing well enough to play his guitar, so that says a lot that he's determined to want to play the show. Apparently he's healing well. He has two tender areas on his arm that cause him pain when he plays the guitar, but he's eager to play, he's eager to get back out on the road with us. I know that he's healing well enough to want to play the show. We'll see."
So Slayer fans attending this weekend's show will hopefully see the return of the guitarist to the stage with the band. Fingers crossed.
