Prince adds more dates to his run of shows at the LA Forum

Thu, 12 May 2011

Last month Prince started his residency at the LA Forum in California as part of his "Welcome 2 America" tour.  The 21 night stand at the Los Angeles venue started on April 14th and this week 6 more dates have been added (taking it to 16 out of the 21), there are still more dates to be confirmed.

Tickets for the shows in Inglewood in can be bought from Live Nation here.

"Purple Rain" is trending on Twitter today as fans talk about the tour and the reports from TMZ.com that the "purple one's" people have banned diva Whitney Houston from all remaining shows on the the 21 night stand.

After attending several of Prince's concerts whilst attending rehab as an outpatient Whitney Houston has reportedly been badgering Prince's staff for tickets and for her to join him on stage the website claims, "Whitney was constantly badgering Prince's staff [for tickets and] to let her up on the stage. But team Prince shot her down multiple times because Symbolina's people 'don't want her to embarrass herself."
Video footage made it onto YouTube however, which has since been taken down, of when the singer did manage to work her way to the stage.

Prince also played two shows in one night earlier yesterday at the Troubadour (at 7pm and then again at 11pm), for fans lucky enough to get the $100 tickets. No cameras were allowed at the venue.
