Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon 'best album cover'

The album artwork was designed by George Hardie of design company Hipgnosis and features a refracting prism. It is one of the most instantly recognisable album covers of all time and is said to represent the groups striking lightshows and the psychedelia contained on the album.

The concept album is the third biggest selling album of all and was an immediate success. It remained in the charts for 741 weeks from 1973 to 1988, longer than any other album in history. The album was made at West London's legendary Abbey Road Studios and produced by Alan Parson who, at the time used some of the most advanced recording techniques of the time, including multi-track recording and tape loops.
