Pearl Jam to celebrate 20th anniversary with two day festival

Seattle rockers Pearl Jam are 20 years old this year and plan to celebrate with a two-day festival at the Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin on Sept 3 - 4.

Eddie Vedder and co will headline both nights and have also invited The Strokes, Queens of the Stone Age, Mudhoney, Liam Finn, John Doe and many others to perform at the two day feista. It will then be followed by a ten-date Canadian tour kicking off at Montreal Bell Centre on 7th September and Finishing up in Vancouver Pacific Coliseum on 25th September.

Tickets will go on sale June 4th unless you're a fan club member in which case you get a pre-sale starting May 23rd.

Pearl Jam broke into the mainstream with their debut album, 'Ten' and where one of the key bands involved in the grunge movement of the early 90's along with the likes of Nirvana, Soundgarden and Mudhoney. The band became noted for their refusal to follow suit with traditional music industry practises, including the much publicised boycott of Ticketmaster in the mid 90's. Pearl Jam have released nine albums since the inception and have collected a number of industry accolades for their music.
