Stone Sour cancel US tour dates

Wed, 18 May 2011

Last night, Stone Sour announced they would be cancelling US tour dates and this weekend's  performance at Rock On The Range in Ohio after drummer Roy Mayorga suffered a minor stroke a few nights ago.

The drummer suffered a minor stroke after the band's headlining show in Des Moines, Iowa, and although the band have reassured fans that he's doing great and are expecting him to make a 100% recovery they have decided to cancel the rest of the tour.

Frontman Corey Taylor took to his Twitter to thank the fans for their support to say, "Thank you so much, everyone. I know Roy appreciates all your love and thoughts. I do as well. We will keep you all posted about everything."

For more details and updates visit www.stonesour.com.

We wish Roy a speedy recovery and look forward to see him back on the road with the band very soon.

Stone Sour were in the middle of their headlining "Avalanche Tour" in the US, here's a few related videos online from the tour.
