Muse win Ivor Novello Award

Fri, 20 May 2011

Last night, Muse were awarded with an Ivor Novello Award at the ceremony in London.

The Ivor Novello Awards are a celebration of British Music writing talent and the band were presented with an award for International Achievement.

Take a look at the other prize winners and the organisation here.

In other Muse news, the band have promised fans a new softer album next year.

Speaking to NME yesterday, drummer Dominic Howard and Bassist Chris Wolstenholme explained that the band's follow up to 2009's 'The Resistance' is planned for 2012.

"Matt (Bellamy) showed me a few chords recently," Dominic Howard explained in the interview, "Who knows, it might be softer rock, but then it's up to me and Chris to make it heavy again. A heavy rock lullaby! But I'm sure it will move forward in some way."
