Jeff Hanneman may miss upcoming South American Tour
Tue, 24 May 2011

It is looking increasingly unlikely that Slayer guitarist Jeff Hannerman will join the thrash metallers on their upcoming South American tour, according to fan-site Slayerized.com
The tour is due to start next week (June 2nd) in Santiago, Chile and as of yet a replacement guitarist for Hannerman hasn't been officially named but, rumours say that it will be Exodus's Gary Holt who has filled in for Hannerman since he contracted necrotizing fasciitis earlier this year believed to be caused by spider bite.
Hanneerman has been sidelined for the majority of Slayers show's due to the illness although he made a surprise appearance at the Big Four festival in Indio last month, where he stepped up to play 'South Of Heaven' and 'Angel Of Death' at the end of their set.
Slayer's South American tour schedule is as follows

5 - Luna Park - Buenos Aires, Argentina
8 - Master Hall - Curitiba, Brazil
