The Darkness announce details of warm up dates and plot world tour
Wed, 25 May 2011

Earlier this month Justin Hawkins announced that he and brother Dan had called a truce on the feud that had caused the untimely split of the Lowerstof hair metallers and that The Darkness were back together, in their original format and working on a new album.
Well now Hawkins and co have announced a series of dates, their first run of gigs in five years. Kicking off at the Norwich Waterfront on June 5th they will then play the Leamington Spa Assembly on June 6 and London's O2 Shepherd's Bush on June 8th. These shows will act as warm-up for their appearance at the Download Festival, in which they will be playing the set before headliners Deff Leppard.
But after speaking to Q Magazine it would seem that the band aren't just content with a handful of dates this June and Hawkins is citing a UK and World Tour in support of their new album for 2012
Speaking to Q Hawkins said: "There'll probably be a The Darkness album in 2012, but somehow we'll get new music out before then. A UK tour at the end of that year and then the world. Again."
