'Elvis & Us' exhibit to open this September

Fri, 27 May 2011

A unique exhibition based on the relationship between rock legends Elvis Presley and The Beatles will open this September in the Fab Four's home town of Liverpool, England, reports elvisnews.com

'Elvis & Us' will represent two of the world's biggest musical icons and will explore how Liverpool's most famous sons were influenced by the 'King of Rock n Roll.' The exhibit will include rare artefacts from both The Beatles Story & the Graceland archives, many of which have never been on public display.

One of the key elements explored in the 'Elvis and Us' exhibition will be the evening Elvis and The Beatles met in person on August 27, 1965, at Elvis' home in Bel Air, California. The white Fender bass guitar played by both the king and the Fab Four at that meeting will be on display. It's a piece of pop culture history that has never been publicly exhibited before

Elvis & Us will open to the public on September 28th, 2011 at The Beatles story in Liverpool and has been described as a multimedia, interactive experience filled with music and video.
