Megadeth's new album stalled
Tue, 31 May 2011
The new Megadeth album has its recording sessions stalled due to an unnamed illness suffered by producer Johnny K, according to Blabbermouth.com.
Mainman Dave Mustaine tweeted to reveal the setback 'D25 Johnny suddenly struck ill. Session halted'
Johnny K is a world renowned GRAMMY nominated hard rock producer who has worked with the likes of Disturbed, Sevendust, Machine Head, Finger Eleven and Staind but this is the first time he has worked with Megadeth.
The new album is due out this year and will be the follow up to 2009's 'Endgame' LP. The drum tracking for the CD began earlier this month and the entire recording process is expected to be completed by the time the group hits the road this summer as part of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival.
Speaking to U.K.'s Terrorizer magazine, Mustaine stated about the band's upcoming album, "This is our 13th studio record, and we've already had a bunch of weird things happen. Car problems, stuff disappearing, a guy who worked for me that was the most white-laced guy you could imagine falling out on drugs and disappearing...but this one's got me excited!"
