The new Chickefoot album is well on its way to completion and is due out later this year, according to vhnd.com (Van Halen News Desk).
Chickenfoot is the American rock supergroup made up of former Van Halen members Sammy Hagar (vocals) and Michael Anthony (bass) along with Joe Satriani (guitar) and Red Hot Chilli Peppers Chad Smith (drummer).
The band have reportedly been 'holed up' in Hagar's Marin County studio, The Foot Locker, working on their second album. The expected title for the new record is 'Chickenfoot IV' and is set to include new tracks "No Change", "Who's Next", "Astral Years" and "I Ain't Got You, I Got The Two By Blues".
Joe Satriani says, "Chickenfoot’s second album is almost finished, and we’re hoping to mix sometime in June. It is heavier, and better than the first one, and I can’t wait to get it out there!"
Michael Anthony says, "Been in the studio with Sammy, Chad and Joe finishing up the recording on the new Chickenfoot CD and having a blast!"
