This Friday, Slayer frontman Tom Araya will return to his birthplace in Chile to receive the key to the city of Viña del Mar.
This will mark Chile's first recognition of Tom Araya who left the country with his family at the age of 5 years old when they moved to the US.
The city of Viña del Mar is located 74 miles Northwest of Santiago and this Friday Slayer will play the city for the first time.
The bassist/vocalist will also celebrate his 50th birthday at Friday's concert, his family will be there with him and they'll spend some time in the city.
Full details can be found on fansite www.slayerized.com.
Previously, Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo also revealed the band will record a new album, although no material has yet been written.
