Dream Theater new album update

The as-of-yet untitled album is scheduled for a September release date and vocalist James LaBrie has just completed the vocal recordings with Rush producer/engineer and former Winter Rose guitarist Richard Chycki. 

LaBrie stated that: "I didn't want anyone else around when I recorded my vocals for this album, I wanted a relaxed atmosphere, so I did them up here at home in Canada rather than in New York. The results speak for themselves, and they're fantastic."

Guitarist John Petrucci has said the bands headlining North American is to feature a lot of the new material from the forthcoming album, reports hard rock website Bravewords.

"The production of the show will be centred around the new material. Up until then, we're playing festivals in Europe, and we will play one of the new songs."
