Dream Theater confirm new album details

Dream Theater recently announced the name of their new drummer, Mike Mangini, who replacings founding member and former drummer Mike Portnoy who left the band last summer.

They announced the new drummer through a series of videos, showing fans their search for a new drummer as they got the choices down to a handful of top drummers before making their final decision.

Today, through a press release via record label Roadrunner Records, they have confirmed their first album with Mangini will be released on September 13th (12th in the UK) and will be called "A Dramatic Turn of Events". 

The track listing for A Dramatic Turn of Events is:

2. Build Me Up, Break Me Down
3. Lost Not Forgotten
4. This is the Life
5. The Shaman’s Trance
6. Outcry
7. Far From Heaven
8. Breaking All Illusions
9. Beneath The Surface

Speaking about the new album in the press release, guitarist and album's producer John Petrucci says, "I'm incredibly psyched with the way this album came out and can't wait to share it with everybody. We are currently in the mix stage with the great Andy Wallace and it's all sounding amazing!"
