Iron Maiden, Avenged Sevenfold and Judas Priest win at Metal Hammer Golden Gods awards

Last night Metal Hammer magazine held their annual Golden Gods awards in London which saw Iron Maiden named Best UK band and Avenged Sevenfold as Best International Band.

Ozzy Osbourne and Firewind guitarist Gus G walked away with the Dimebag Darrell Shredder award, presented by Alice Cooper, whilst Judas Priest received the Icons award and the coveted GOLDEN GOD went to Rob Zombie.

Best Underground - PRIMORDIAL

Best Live Band - SKINDRED
Inspiration Award - TWISTED SISTER
Best International Band - AVENGED SEVENFOLD
Best Album - "Absolute Dissent" by KILLING JOKE
Event of the Year - "Big 4" coming together for first time ever in the U.K.
Riff Lord(s) - Pepper Keenan and Kirk Windstein (DOWN)
Spirit of Hammer - DIAMOND HEAD
Icons - JUDAS PRIEST
Golden God - Rob Zombie
