Trivium's Matt Heafy talks about the departure of their drummer last year

Last year Trivium drummer, Travis Smith, left the Floridian four-piece metal banThis image has been reduced in size - click here to view full sized during their US tour, the bands drum tech Nick Augusto stepped into fill the drum seat and was confirmed as a premanent member of the band in February 2010.

Recently, frontman Matt Heafy spoke to Artistan News about the change in line up, explaining that,  "Basically — and I'm not pointing any one finger — between the four of us in the old lineup, if that lineup continued, the band wouldn't be around anymore. And I'm not saying it's just [Travis] or just one other guy from our band right now [that were causing the friction in the group], it's just… the chemistry wasn't there."

Trivium have also announced a UK tour this December in support of their new album out later in the summer (August 8th).

6th - O2 Academy Glasgow
7th - O2 Academy Newcastle
8th - Plymouth Pavillions
