Bryan Adams confirms Australia tour dates
Mon, 20 Jun 2011
Bryan Adams will play a series of intimate acoustic shows in Australia as part of his 'Bare Bones' tour, according to his official website.
The shows will see Adams perform stripped back rewordings of some of his biggest hits including 'Summer of '69' and '(Everything I Do) I Do It For You' which featured on the soundtrack from the 1991 film Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.
Adams says it was his experience recording 'MTV's Unplugged' in the Nineties which inspired him to start performing the acoustic covers live and as the tour rolled out across the USA and Canada more and more people were asking for recordings of the songs. He then recorded a 20 track album of the reworked hits which was released last November.
Adams will kick off the tour on September 15th at The Palais in Melbourne and finish up on September 22nd Civic Theatre in Newcastle.
Dates are:
September 15, Melbourne, The Palais
September 17, Sydney, Opera House
September 20, Brisbane, QPAC Concert Hall
September 22, Newcastle, Civic Theatre
