Michael Anthony update on new Chickenfoot album

Tue, 21 Jun 2011

Chickenfoot bassist, Michael Anthony celebrated his 57th birthday on Monday (June 21st) whilst also revealing details of the super-group's next album.

The band, which also consists of Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani and Chad Smith, have been hard at it since January in Hagar's Foot Locker Studios in Marin County writing the follow-up to their 2009 début.

Anthony took to Facebook to update fans on the album:

"Thanks to everyone for all the birthday wishes!," wrote Anthony. "The only thing that makes my day better is that mixing on the new Chickenfoot CD is done! It's a lot heavier than the first record and I can't wait to get it out there!"

The official title for the new 'Chickenfoot' LP will be 'Chickenfoot IV' and is slated for an October 2011 release date.
