Black Country Communion top the UK Rock Album Chart
Tue, 21 Jun 2011
Black Country Communion's latest studio album "2", released last week has jus
t toppled the Foo Fighters 'Wasting Light' from the No.1 spot in the official UK Rock Album Chart.
Dave Grohl & the Foos had enjoyed a number of weeks at the top of the UK Rock Chart fending off stern competition from heavy metal juggernaut Iron Maiden, who released their 'From Fear To Eternity: Best Of' compilation earlier this month.
But the much anticipated second album from the hard rock super-group, which features vocalist/bassist Glenn Hughes (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Trapeze), drummer Jason Bonham (Foreigner), Derek Sherinian (Dream Theatre) and blues rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa, has stormed to the top of the chart in its first week.
BCC have invited their fans to record their very own video of the group on their current world tour and post the footage on the band's website here. The entries with the most views will then be rewarded with prizes, including an Epiphone Les Paul Special II.
