The Metal Big 4 may not jam together at Sonisphere, Knebworth

Fri, 24 Jun 2011

Next month, the metal "Big Four" will play together in the UK at Sonisphere, Knebworth, for the first time, since last year's first ever show together which was screened live at movie theater's worldwide, the band's have often included a live jam session together, the first of which including a tribute to Diamond Head with the song "Am I Evil?".In a recent interview with Rock AAA, Anthrax and Damned Thing guitarist Rob Caggiano revealed the Big 4 may not be jamming together at the UK Sonisphere show on Friday 8th July.

"I don’t really know what’s going to happen for the jam at the end – or even if there will be one in the UK," he tells the radio station backstage at Sonisphere Switzerland before he took the stage with his other band The Damned Things, he then added, "It started as a spur of the moment thing – it was Metallica’s idea – of course if it happens we’ll be there. Well I’ll be there. Scott will NOT be there."

His fellow Anthrax axeman will not be appearing at the gig, after deciding to miss out the tour to spend time with his newborn first child, he recently told RockAAA "It would take something like that not to play the Big 4 shows. I can’t believe I’m not going to be there: the agent told me last night, ‘There’s 59,000 people in Germany and 60,000 in Italy…’ I know – but I’ll be in LA with my
baby."

Diamond Head will also be appearing at the Festival, last year we had guitarist Brian Tatler in to film a lesson for "Am I Evil?". Check out the interview and lesson below.
