Radiohead confirmed as "special guests" at Glastonbury

Fri, 24 Jun 2011

After month's of rumours, it has been confirmed that Radiohead WILL be performing tonight at Glastonbury.

Although listed as "Special Guests", a spokesman for the band have confirmed they will take to the "Park Stage" at 8pm tonight, (24th June) reports NME.com.

Earlier this week Glastonbury organisers were reluctant to name the "Special Guests" as Emily Eavis told NME, "We are still unsure of exactly who is turning up, mainly because it's unconfirmed at the moment! I swear I have heard every rumour – even that Led Zeppelin are playing!"

Last year band members Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood played a surprise acoustic performance at the festival, this year's slot will be the band's fifth appearance at the Worthy Farm, Somerset festival.

Tonight, Glastonbury Festival plays host to headliners U2 on the Pyramid Stage, who last year cancelled their appearance due to frontman Bono's back injury.
