Steven Tyler confirmed for another season of American Idol

Entertainment Weekly have confirmed that Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson have already been confirmed to return to the next season of American Idol.

Fox have confirmed the two will be in season 11, but have yet to reveal if Jennifer Lopez will return to her seat on the panel as she is said to be "On the fence".

Previously Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry made comments related to the rumoured appearance the band were due to make on the show's finale, which he had claimed they had not been asked to do by producers, but he would look forward to playing the next season, once they had completed their new album.

Aerosmith are now in the studio working on their new album.

Meanwhile, Steven Tyler will release his solo single, "It Feels So Good", featuring former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger - in the UK on July 11th (It was previously released in the US.)
