AC/DC fans pay tribute to Bon Scott

Mon, 11 Jul 2011

AC/DC fans flocked to the birthplace of late singer Bon Scott this weekend to celebrate what would have been Scott's 65th birthday, reports Gibson.com.

An army of fans from all four corners of the globe descended on Bon Fest in Kirriemuir, Scotland, which is an annual event set up to pay homage to the AC/DC frontman, who died in 1980 and was replaced by Brian Johnson.

In related news a book by founding bassist Mark Evans is set to be released later this year. The book details AC/DC's rise to fame and is expected to tell of all the twists and turns they encounterd on their valiant climb to the top of the rock 'n' roll tree.

The book will titled 'Dirty Deeds: My Life Inside/Outside AC/DC' and will be released this November.
