Deep Purple albums set to receive reissue treatment

Tue, 12 Jul 2011

A July 26th release date has been set by Eagle Rock for a trio of Deep Purple reissues complete with rarities such as bonus tracks including alternate versions, studio outtakes, instrumentals and more.

The veteran British rockers have given the go ahead for their first three albums, 'Shades of Deep Purple', 'The Book of Taliesyn' and 'Deep Purple' to all receive the reissue treatment.

In particular 'Shades of Deep Purple', which is possibly one of the greatest rock debuts of all time, is to feature several studio bonuses including the previously unreleased album outtake of 'Shadows' and two live tracks. There is also the inclusion of their cover of 'Hey Joe' recorded for the BBC and also a live version of their debut single 'Hush' which was recorded for US television.

All three reissues will be available from July 26th through Eagle Rock.
