Tue, 12 Jul 2011
There are a number of big named acts rumoured to be taking the stage during the 2012 Olympics, including the remaining members of The Beatles, Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr (Pictured right).
Last month Paul McCartney dropped hints about his possible involvement when speaking to Absolute Radio, saying that he hadn't yet been asked to perform, but was 'working on it'.
Sir Paul has been coy about the details but has been quoted as saying "Hear there's a rumour that I might be involved. I hear they're planning this [The Beatles] sort of music."
Organisers are said to be keen on having Paul & Ringo on board an insider has revealed that, "The organisers want The Beatles legend to appear alongside other big British acts. And they want Ringo on stage as well to make it extra special."
Other acts rumoured to be taking the stage at the London 2012 Olympics are The Rolling Stones, Queen and the Spice Girls.
