Boston college rock heroes The Lemonheads have revealed their plans to perform 1992's It's a Shame About Ray in its entirety during their forthcoming US & UK tours this winter.
According to Slicing Up Eyeballs the current embodiment of the post-punk outfit, with singer Evan Dando being the only remaining founding member, are to kick of their 29 date North American leg on Sept.30 at the Dreamland Ballroom in Little Rock, AR before finishing up on Nov.6 at the Wild Buffalo House of Music in Bellingham, WA.
They will then cross the pond in order to start an 11 date tour of the UK kicking off on Nov.30 at the Wedgewood Rooms, Portsmouth before zig zaging up & down the country to finish up in the smoke on Dec.13 where they will play the Shepherds Bush Empire, West London.
Even though It's a Shame About Ray was the Lemonheads fifth studio album it is noted for being the bands 'breakout album' and includes their world renowned cover of Simon & Garfunkel's classic 'Mrs. Robinson.'
In 2008, Rhino Records reissued 'It's a Shame About Ray' in a deluxe 2CD/1DVD package.
