Van Halen engineer Ross Hogarth has revealed that the recording process on the new Van Halen album is complete and he feels that they're "at the top of their game."
Rock News Desk has reported that in an interview with Ultimate Guitar, Hogarth said:
"The new Van Halen album has been recorded and we’re all excited. We’ve just started mixing the record.
"it’s the killing side of Van Halen at the top of their game again with Diamond Dave, and the band on fire.
"I’m really stoked about it as it is the original band, Eddie and Alex with Wolfie playing bass and David Lee Roth singing."
Meanwhile Hogarth has angered VH fans, in particular fans of former bassist Michael Anthony, after the in demand producer described the current line up of Eddie, Alex, Lee Roth and Eddie's son Wolfgang as 'the original band.'
This comes after the airbrushing debacle in which VH members had Anthony airbrushed out of album covers for the band's website leading fans to speculate that they are doing their best to erase Anthony from the Van Halen history books.
