A Benefit for Cliff II - Raises over $100,000

The recent benefit concert for music industry giant Cliff Cultreri, 'A Benefit For Cliff II' that took place last Sunday (10th) was a huge success and raised over $100,000, reports Anti-Music.

Joe Satriani and Steve Vai, to whom both owe their careers to the influential A & R scout, hosted the event at The House of Blues Hollywood. The benefit event was opened by Brandon Small and featured performances from Dweezil Zappa, Orianthi, Brendon Small and Tony MacAlpine.

Between sets a number of items from both Satriani & Vai's personal collections were auctioned off, including custom amps, cabinets, pedal's and guitars. An autographed red JS1200 Satriani Signature sold for $6200 while a custom Fibenare raised $4800. Satriani and Vai also donated various items to be sold on line. In addition to the auctioned items, Guitar TV, who broadcast the event managed to raise nearly $7000 via their 'virtual ticket'
