The Monkees 45th anniversary tour axed

Wed, 10 Aug 2011

The Monkees' 45th anniversary reunion tour has had the remaining 8 dates of the tour cancelled due to "internal group issues and conflicts", according to Consequence of Sound.

The newly reunited trio of Davy Jones, Peter Tork and Mickey Dolenz had been touring together since their UK show at the Liverpool Echo Arena in May and went on to play a series of shows back in the US.

However conflicting reports from show biz and entertainment website TMZ have revealed that a representative for drummer/lead vocalist, Micky Dolenz indicated that the booking management firm "booked a number of dates and venues without running them by the group first."

Refunds for the canceled shows will be available at the place of purchase.
