AC/DC to team up with wine makers

Mon, 15 Aug 2011

Hard rock titans, AC/DC are planning to release their very own range of wine.

The part Australian part English rockers have surprisingly teamed up with Aussie based winery Warburn Estate to release a variety of beverages such as 'Back in Black' Shiraz, 'Highway to Hell' Cabernet Sauvignon and 'You Shook Me All Night Long' Moscato.

Steve Donohue, general manager of buying for the Woolworths Liquor Group, told the Herald Sun: "We wanted to make sure that AC/DC's hometown fan base could have easy access to their rock icons' wines."

"For us it was a no-brainer to make it available nationally, no-one misses out. This is a world-wide phenomena and a first in the marketplace."

The AC/DC wine range will be made available in Dan Murphy's, BWS and Woolworths stores from August 18.
