Dave Mustaine reveals favourite Metallica song

The interview features in the September/October edition of the hard rock & metal magazine which this month is dedicated to the Big Four's (Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth & Slayer) upcoming concert at the Yankee Stadium, New York City on Sept.14.

The metal icon, who was the original lead guitarist and co-songwriter of Metallica until he was fired in 1983, had this to say on his former band:

"And I remember hearing this song when I was talking to Lars once and telling him this is my favorite song off the 'Black Record.' And he goes, 'Really? Fuck, man.' It was 'The Unforgiven'. I liked it because I thought this was really the first time I've ever really heard James [Hetfield] sing. He had sung before, and he was a great singer. But that was the first time I ever heard him really, really sing."
