Van Halen to tour Australia in early 2012?

After the cancellation of the Soundwave Revolution festival tour which was set to be Van Halen's live return, it has emerged that an early 2012 tour could be on the cards for the band.

Triple M reporter Nui Te Koha spoke recently about how two promoters have spoken with Van Halen management following the festival's cancellation about bringing the band over for a headlining tour.

"This will be an arena tour," he revealed, "VAN HALEN has got an album coming out really soon. Two promoters have gone in and said, 'This Soundwave Revolution thing was a debacle. We want to tour the band and it will happen early next year.'"

No confirmation has come from the band as of yet.
