Queen and friends will be celebrating Freddie Mercury's 65th birthday at The Savoy

Wed, 31 Aug 2011

On September 5th, Queen and friends will celebrate Freddie Mercury's 65th birthday in style at London's Savoy hotel with "Freddie For A Day".

"Freddie For A Day" will urge fans to don the iconic frontman's tache (which can be bought here) and join Queen and a host of famous musicians around the world who'll be doing the same.

In addition Queen and pals will head to London's Savoy for an exclusive "Freddie For A Day" gig, which LickLibrary are delighted to announce our very own Jamie Humphries will be joining the LickLibrary's Jamie Humphries on tour earlier this year with Brian Maylegends onstage during the performance too!

Funds raised from the event at The Savoy will go to the Mercury Phoenix Trust, the charity established in the late singer's honour by band members Brian May and Roger Taylor to fight HIV AIDS worldwide.  The evening will be a mix of comedy with rock and roll hosted by Brian May and Roger Taylor themselves.

Find out more about the event and how you can get involved here or head to www.freddieforaday.com.
