Shaun Ryder publishes autobiography

Thu, 15 Sep 2011

Happy Mondays & Black Grape lynchpin, Shaun Ryder will publish his new autobiography,'Twisting My Melon', today (Sept.15) according to NME

The book will take an in-depth look into anti-hero Ryder's raucous life, from his earliest days on the Salford council estate where he and brother Paul first formed the Happy Mondays through to their rise to fame which culminated in their third album, 'Pills, Thrills and Bellyaches' which debuted in UK the album charts at #1 in 1990.

The book then goes into detail the Mondays' eventual split, Sean's spiralling decent into hard drugs & drink, his days in Black Grape and more recently his time spent in ITV's 'I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here'.

'Twisting My Melon' is released today (Sept.15) through Bantam Press
