Dave Mustaine reveals his intensions for Megadeth's next tour

Fri, 23 Sep 2011

Megadeth's Dave Mustaine is wasting no time in plotting the metal titans next tour.

What with their collosal Big 4 Yankee Stadium show now behind them, Mustaine has revealed in a video interview with Street Date his intentions for Megadeth's next tour, he said:

"This year coming up we’re gonna be having us, Motorhead, a great band that’s coming up called Volbeat and Lacuna Coil."

The actual dates of the tour are still to be announced however you have now heard it from the man himself, Megadeth & Motorhead will be hitting the road together.

In related news Mustaine has revealed in a recent interview his relief that his bassist David Ellefson wasn't invited to join Metallica after the death of Cliff Burton, who tragically died on tour in 1986 after the tour bus crashed.

Mustaine tells CBS (via RockNewsDesk): "When Cliff died there was a moment where Dave’s name had come up and I was a little concerned."

"I didn’t want to lose my bassist and I certainly didn’t want to have another reason to be upset. God knows I had my reasons, even though they weren’t all real. A lot of them were caused by myself.

"I just don’t think I would have done well if I’d have known that had happened. Fortunately for me, I think those guys took that into account and just said, ‘Let’s find someone else."
