Nirvana's "Nevermind" re-issue hits the UK top 5
Mon, 03 Oct 2011
Last week the reissued and repackaged classic Nirvana album "Nevermind" was released and has scored a top 5 position in the UK album charts.
Originally released in 1991, the album is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.
Over the weekend it was reported that former Nirvana drummer and Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl will be working on a new documentary about Sound City Studios, where the band recorded the record.
In the report by Artisan News Kevin Cronin of REO Speedwagon revealed, "Dave is working on this project based on a studio that we all used to work at. It’s really interesting. I probably shouldn’t be talking about it – Dave will probably announce it. But it’s very cool. I’ve been in contact with him lately. There was a studio that all of us worked at, where they recorded ‘Nevermind’, and I know that it meant a lot to a lot of artists. So Dave is just kind of putting together something to get the stories that all the artists had about that studio."
No official details or release date have been made available about the upcoming documentary.
