MTV India to air Metallica's first show in India

Metallica are set to play a concert India for the first time and MTV India have announced they will be broadcasting the bands show the week after the live event.

Radioandmusic.com have reported a press release announced that the channel in association with F1 Rocks will show the historic Metallica performance.

"MTV reaches approx 130 million people across 40 million homes and it’s a huge thing for MTV to broadcast the most awaited concert in India in association with F1 Rocks. Metallica concert will boost the Indian economy as international acts tend to do well in the live-music circuit in an emerging economy like India." says MTV India head Aditya Swamy.

Metallica will play Delhi, India on 28th October 2011.
