Neil Young's Bridge School Benefit Concert to be broadcast live

Neil Young is to broadcast his annual non-profit Bridge School Benefit Concert for the first time in its 25 year history, reports Ultimate Classic Rock

The concerts are organised by Young & his wife Pegi and this year's will take place on Oct.22/23 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California .

Saturday's event will be webcast live via the schools Facebook & Youtube pages and this year will feature performances from, aside from Young, Eddie Vedder, Carlos Santana (with Los Invisibles), Arcade Fire, Dave Matthews, Norah Jones, Mumford and Sons and assorted 'special guests.'

For over 20 years musicians including Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Elton John, Tom Petty, Brian Wilson & The Who have all supported Bridge School which educates children with severe speech & physical impairments through the use of alternative communication systems assistive technology.

Previous showcases will be released in three DVD and two CD packages on Oct.24.

There will be a number of ways to support the school over this weekend, one of which is via texting the word 'bridge' to 80888 & then replying 'yes' to make a $10 donation.
