Paul Rodgers says he'd be open to a Queen reunion

Fri, 21 Oct 2011

Last month rumours surfaced that Queen could be reuniting with Free frontman Paul Rodgers for a performance at the London 2012 Olympics.

Queen drummer Roger Taylor told Rolling Stone Magazine that he "wouldn't rule it out," but nothing had been planned or confirmed.

Rumours are still circulating as the legendary rock singer said in a recent interview that he "would be open" to the reunion and the show, although no on has yet asked him to.

"I would be open to something like that, I must say. I think we did fantastically well. We were up against potential disaster, really, and I think we really pulled it off. Toured the world a couple of times. Made a brand new studio album I just didn't want to do it forever... But for something like (the Olympics), that would be ideal." he tells Billboard.com

Queen will be honoured as "Global Icons" at next month's MTV EMAs in Belfast.
