New Rush album expected for early 2012

Mon, 31 Oct 2011

Rush frontman Geddy Lee has revealed fans could expect a new album by Spring 2012.

In an interview with
Rolling Stone magazine he explained, "We have one or two more songs that we'd like to write, and then we'll start recording in earnest. Hopefully we'll have all of the recording done before Christmas. Then we'll mix it some time in the next year, and then get it out."
As for direction he says,
"The direction of "Caravan" and "BU2B" sort of points in the direction that we're going."

The album will be the bands first studio release on new label, Roadrunner Records.  Last week they announced the release of three box sets spanning their Mercury Records era. Details here.

As well as the release of their new concert DVD "Time Machine: Live In Cleveland", Rush drummer Neil Peart is releasing his new "Taking Center Stage" DVD see the video below for details.
