Thu, 03 Nov 2011

An ultra-rare Portuguese Queen vinyl single has sold on Ebay for $1,540, reports UltimateClassicRock.

The 'Keep Yourself Alive' 7" with picture sleeve was rated by the sellers as in 'excellent condition' & received 11 bids.

The single was first recorded in 1973 & was recorded at Trident & Delane Lea Studios in London for the band debut album 'Queen.'

According to Mark Hodkinson, author of ‘Queen: The Early Years,’ the A-side was originally conceived on acoustic guitars during a practice session at Imperial College in 1970 before bassist John Deacon joined the band.
