Velvet Revolver auditioning new singer next month

After the rumours of Stone Sour/Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor being set to take the vacancy left by singer Scott Weiland were squashed, Velvet Revolver could be auditioning their next option in December.

In an interview during his band Loaded's Dublin stop with toofamoustogetfullydressed blog, Velvet Revolver (and former Guns N Roses) bassist Duff McKagan revealed "I think we may be looking at somebody in December, which is fun to think about. I believe in my heart of hearts it’ll happen."

Guitarist Slash has confirmed the same in his latest interview with Billboard.com saying that the band will "Spend some time with a couple of singers -- that's all I can tell you."

Velvet Revolver fans will have to wait a little longer for a firm decision from the band.
